Join us for a post Midterms debriefing, discussion and brainstorm of where we go from here in Northeast Ohio. We’ll be joined by some amazing activists and Dems:
Cindy Demsey of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Womens Caucus
Gabrielle Jackson of The Northeast Ohio Young Black Democrats
Rick Raley of the Cuyahoga County Young Democrats
Last month we, the Cleveland Stonewall Democrats updated our bylaws to use the initialism LGBTQIA+. This was an important decision for us, we look forward to continuing the conversation from our last meeting with the community and having an information sharing session about that move forward. Speakers to be announced.
Looking for work is hard.
Finding a job when you’re a transgender worker can be even tougher.
In fact, transgender people face an unemployment rate that’s nearly double that of the wider population. That’s why MetroHealth is partnering with other local businesses to host the fifth annual Northeast Ohio Transgender Job Fair on Saturday, April 6, at 9 a.m. at MetroHealth’s main campus, 2500 MetroHealth Drive, Cleveland. The event is free and anyone can attend.
Attendees will be able to network with employers and connect with community resources and professional development opportunities. The day kicks off with a free hot breakfast at 8:00 a.m.
